The Railway recruitment cell/Northern Railway invites applications for Group-D Posts in various Divisions/Department/Workshops of Railway. The last date has been extended by the by the Railway department. The candidates who belong to the northern region only are eligible for these posts. The Details are as follows:

Whom to Apply:

The Application Form along with the required document should be sent to the “Assistant Personnel Officer (RRC), Railway Recruitment Cell, Lajpat Nagar – I, New Delhi – 11024”. The envelop containing the application should be clearly mentioned for the post “APPLICATION FOR THE RECRUITMENT FOR THE POSTS IN PAY BAND – I (Rs. 5200 – 20200) +


Qualification Criteria:

Minimum Qualification 10th pass OR ITI OR any other equivalent Qualification.

Age Limit:

Minimum age 18yrs to 33yrs (as on 1.1.2013) & born between 2.1.1980 to 1.1.1995) For age relaxation see the Notification.

Application Fee:

The candidate paid their fee Rs. 40/- through IPO(Indian Postal Order) in favour of Assistant Personnel Officer, Railway Recruitment Cell, Lajpat Nagar–I, New Delhi–110024. The applicants are required to go RRC website & download of Payment Challan. The candidate can deposit the fee in ant branch of the Central Bank of India in the A/C no. 3199333906.The candidate can also deposit their fee through NEFT by using code no. CBIN0280311.


Last Date of Notification:

As per the previous notification the last date is 15.10.2012. Now the Department has extended the date up to 14 Dec. 2012 & for the candidates of far-flung areas & the North-East the closing date is up to 31. Dec. 2012.
