University Grants Commission (UGC), is a statutory body under the administrative control of the Ministry of Human Resource Development of India. The UGC has the unique distinction of being the only grant-giving agency in the country which has been entrusted with responsibilities of providing funds & that of coordination, determination & maintenance of standards in institutions of higher education. UGC invites application for recruitment for the post of Lower Division Clerks (LDC) as per the derails given below:

Last Date of Depositing Examination Fee at (S.B.I) - 22th June 2013

Eligibility Criteria for Lower Division Clerk (LDC)

Educational Qualification:
Must have passed Matriculation (10th Standard) or Higher examination from a recognized University /Board. Also upload the scanned copy of Matric/10th certificate issued by the recognized Board at the appropriate place in the online application.

Examination Fees:
Candidates are required to pay a fee of Rs. 300/- (Rupees Three Hundred Only) for Un-reserved candidates & Rs. 200/-(Rupees Two Hundred Only) for OBC classes candidates. No fee is payable for SC/ST/PH & Female candidates are exempted from payment of Fees.

Age Limit:
The candidate for this examination must have attained the age of 18yrs & must not have attained the age of more than 25yrs as on (1 Jan 2013) (Born between 1.1.1988 to 1.1.1995)

The written examination will consists of an objective type/multiple type choice paper as per details give below:

The duration of the examination will be 02.00 hrs. The candidate will be required to mark their answer by darkening the columns with Black Ball point pen only.
How to Apply:
The candidates are required to apply online through the UGC website www.ugc.ac.in only. No other mode of submission of applications will be accepted. The On-Line registration process involves 2 steps for successful registration of the application:

For Step-I Registration:
1) Candidates must visit the website of UGC website at www.ugc.ac.in and going to the tab “Jobs”.

2) The candidates have to sign up with valid Email ID. After sign up, system will generate user name & Password & send to their Email ID.

3) Now the candidates have to login as a registered user name & Password & fill all the desired information in the online application form.

4) After the completion of the Step-I a message was received in candidate’s e-mail ID having its registration no. & a link for printing the bank challan to deposit the examination fee.

5) The candidate should take a print of the bank challan & deposit the fee in State Bank of India (S.B.I) to complete the Step-I of on-line registration.

For Step-II Registration:
After depositing the Examination fee the candidate should upload the scanned copies of latest photograph, Signature & 10th pass certificate to complete the Step-II o online registration. Admit card for written test will be sent to the candidates registered e-mail ID.
