Teachers Eligibility Test (TET) for Recruitment of Graduate Teachers in Assam Secondary Education Department

The govt. of Assam invites the application of the eligible candidates for the posts of graduate teachers. They fix the minimum standard of qualification Teacher's Eligibility Test(TET) in secondary schools accordance with NCTE regulations.The Assam govt. offers direct recruitment for the posts of Graduate teachers through (TET).


No.of Vacancies: No. of posts for Graduate Teachers is  4500 (approx.)

Eligibility Criteria:

a) Graduate Teacher:Graduate degree in B.A/B.Sc/B.Com with 50% marks with B.T/ B.Ed degree from any recognized University.

b) Hindi Teacher: Pravin/Ratna in Hindi with minimum 50% marks having degree from any recognized University OR B.A with Hindi as one of the subject with 50% marks & B.T/ B.Ed degree from any recognized University.

c) Classical Teacher (Sanskrit):Degree in Shastri with minimum 50% marks OR B.A with Shastri as one of the subject with 50% marks & B.T/ B.Ed degree from any recognized University.

d) Classical Teacher (Arabic, Urdu, Persian Etc):MM with 50% marks having degree from any recognized University OR B.A with Arabic as one of the subject with 50% marks & B.T/ B.Ed degree from any recognized University.

e) Classical Teacher (Assamese & Manipuri Language): B.A with honors /Major in concerned subject with 50% marks & B.T/ B.Ed degree from any recognized University.

Note: B.T/B.Ed degree in necessary qualification for secondary teachers. 


Valid Age: Maximum age is 38yrs (as on 1 Jan. 2012)


Important Dates:

Issue of Application Form (through Post Office): 1 Oct. 2012 to 10 Oct. 2012.

Last Date of submission Application Form: 30 Nov. 2012

Issue of Admit Card (through Post Office): In the end of December 2012 (date should be Tentative)

TET Examination: Last week of Feb. 2013 (date should be Tentative)

Deceleration Result: 20 March 2012 (date should be Tentative)


Application Form: The cost of Application Form Rs. 350/- which will be obtained from Post Office.
