Eligibility Criteria for Indian Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT) 2014
Educational Qualification
1) Flying Branch: Graduation in any discipline from a recognized University who have attained minimum 60% marks in aggregate in all papers put together & have passed Maths & Physics at 10+2 level OR B.E/B.Tech from a recognized University with minimum 60% marks in aggregate in all papers put together.
Age Limit (as on 1 January 2015): Minimum age is 19 yrs & Maximum age is 23 yrs (the candidate born between 2 January 1992 to 1 January 1996).
2) For Techanical Branch:
a) Aeronautical Engineers (Electronics): The candidate would be eligible if they have undergone a minimum four year Degree in qualification form recognized University or cleared sections A & B examination of associate membership of institution of Engineers or Aeronautical Society of India OR Graduate membership examination of the Institute of Electronics & Telecommunication Engineers by actual studies. The candidates applying for the post should have scored minimum 60% marks in aggregate in all papers put together. The list of the subjects mentioned in the Notification.
b) Aeronautical Engineers (Mechanical): The candidate would be eligible if they have undergone a minimum four year Degree in qualification form recognized University or cleared sections A & B examination of associate membership of institution of Engineers or Aeronautical Society of India OR Graduate membership examination of the Institute of Electronics & Telecommunication Engineers by actual studies. The candidates applying for the post should have scored minimum 60% marks in aggregate in all papers put together. The list of the subjects mentioned in the Notification.
Age Limit (as on 1 January 2015): Minimum age is 18 yrs & Maximum age is 28 yrs (the candidate born between 2 January 1987 to 1 January 1997).
3) Ground Duty Branches:
a) Administration & Logistics: Graduate Degree in any discipline with minimum 60% marks in aggregate of all papers put together OR Post Graduate Degree/equivalent Diploma in any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate of all papers put together.
b) Accounts: Graduate Degree in Commerce with a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate of all papers put together OR Post Graduate Degree in Commerce (M.Com)/CA/ICWA with minimum 50% marks in aggregate of all papers put together.
c) Education: Post Graduate Degree in any discipline with a minimum of 50& marks aggregate of all papers put together.
Age Limit (as on 1 January 2015)
For Graduates: Minimum age is 20 yrs & Maximum age is 23 yrs (the candidate born between 2 January 1992 to 1 January 1995)
For Post Graduate/LLB: Minimum age is 20 yrs & Maximum age is 25 yrs (the candidate born between 2 January 1990 to 1 January 1995)
For LLB (3 Year Course after Graduation): Minimum age is 20 yrs & Maximum age is 26 yrs (the candidate born between 2 January 1989 to 1 January 1995)
For M.Ed/Ph d/CA/ICWA: Minimum age is 20 yrs & Maximum age is 27 yrs (the candidate born between 2 January 1988 to 1 January 1995)

If the candidate meets the eligibility criteria Click on the “Candidate Login” in the website www.careerairforce.nic.in & follow the instructions. The candidates are advised to note down the registration number for future reference. The candidates are advised to read the Notification for AFCAT 01/2014 & the detailed guidelines for filling up Online application. While filling online application it is advisable to keep the relevant documents readily available. Upload your recent colour passport size photograph (10 to 250 kb) for attaching to your online application form. Please note that utmost care needs to be taken while filing up the online application form. In case any information is found to be incorrect then the candidate is likely to be cancelled at any stage of the selection process.
